Trajectory Drawing with igus Delta Robot: Precision in Academic Robotics
As part of a master’s thesis, a student successfully developed and implemented a target- and waypoint-based trajectory method on an igus Delta robot. Equipped with a pen, the robot skillfully drew complex patterns such as a spiral, a flower, and the IGMR logo. Mounted in a robot cell, the system integrates 3-axis Delta kinematics, supported by a custom-built controller housed in a control cabinet containing power supply logic, stepper motor control, and load power supply.
What is the Application?
This project demonstrates the use of the Delta robot for precision drawing and trajectory-based motion control, applicable to academic research, prototyping, and creative industries.
What are the Advantages of the Solution?
